DefinitionOpen contempt, mockery, or derision. In the Psalms the "scorner" (or "scornful") is one of the wicked who despises wisdom and instruction. Christ Himself was scorned at His crucifixion. The KJV consistently contrasts the way of the scorner with the way of the wise and godly.
