📚 About this Book
✦ Chapter Overview

Second Chronicles 27 records the sixteen-year reign of Jotham, who did right in the sight of the Lord as his father Uzziah had, though he did not enter the temple while the people still acted corruptly. He built the upper gate of the Lord's house, fortified cities and towers in Judah, and subdued the Ammonites so that they paid him tribute. The chapter closes by noting that his acts and ways are written among the kings of Israel and Judah, and that he died and was buried in the city of David, with his son Ahaz succeeding him.
