The Scripture
(7) Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the LORD, removing idols and high places from Judah, and he strengthened the kingdom with fortified cities and a large army. When Zerah the Ethiopian came against Judah with a vast army, Asa cried out to the LORD for help, and the LORD struck down the Ethiopians before Judah in a great victory.
