II Chronicles 26:4
The Scripture
(4) And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah did.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Second Chronicles 26 recounts the long fifty-two-year reign of Uzziah, who began at sixteen and did right as his father Amaziah had, so God prospered him in war against the Philistines, Arabians, and Meunites, and in building towers, cisterns, and a strong army. After Uzziah became strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: he entered the temple to burn incense, and when the priests confronted him he raged at them until the Lord struck him with leprosy in his forehead. He remained a leper until his death, dwelling in a separate house while his son Jotham governed, and was buried in the kings' field as a leper.
