Create named study collections and fill them with notes, bookmarked passages, selected verse groups, and full AI conversations — all in one place. Every item is permanently snapshotted so your study stays intact even if you later delete the original bookmark or conversation. When your research is complete, export the entire study as a beautifully formatted PDF.

• 📝Create unlimited studies — give each study a title and an optional description (e.g. “The Sermon on the Mount”, “Pauline Epistles”).
• 📝Chapter Notes — write one personal note per Bible chapter. Notes are attached directly to the Book and Chapter, not to a study, so they are always there when you return to that chapter. Access them from the sidebar, the toolbar, or the glowing 📝 indicator in the corner of the reading page.
• 📖View before you edit — when a note exists for the chapter you are reading, clicking the 📝 icon opens a formatted read-only view of your complete note. Verse references are highlighted, section separators display as visual rules, and blank lines create breathing room between thoughts. Click ✎ Edit in the view panel to open the full editor.
• 📌Verse references — in the note editor, choose any verse from the Insert verse reference dropdown to append a formatted reference like [Genesis 1:3] at the end of your note, preceded by a separator line. References always append after existing content so earlier entries are never disrupted.
• ⎯New Section — click the ⎯ New Section button in the editor to insert a separator line and start a fresh section within the same chapter note. Useful for grouping different themes or ideas without creating separate notes.
• 📝My Notes page — view and manage all your chapter notes in one place, organized by book with collapsible headings. Filter by All, Old Testament, or New Testament. Edit any note, jump to the chapter it belongs to, or delete notes you no longer need.
• ⇓Export notes to PDF — on the My Notes page, click the PDF button next to any book heading to download a formatted PDF of all notes for that book. The PDF renders with a white background and black text for easy printing; separator lines display as actual horizontal rules; verse references appear in a distinct style; and a gold banner labels each chapter.
• 📝Link notes to studies — from inside the note editor, select any study and click ＋ Link to attach the note. The note text is permanently snapshotted at the moment of linking, so deleting the original chapter note never removes it from the study. Linked chapter notes appear as a dedicated section inside the study and are included in the study PDF export.
• ★Add bookmarks to a study — from the Bookmarks page, click Add to Study on any bookmark to attach it with an optional personal note. The verse text is permanently snapshotted, so deleting the original bookmark never removes it from the study.
• 📌Verse Collections in studies — add any Verse Collection to a study using the Add to Study button on the Collections tab of the Bookmarks page. Collections appear in the study’s Verse Selections section as expandable cards in full hierarchical format: the collection name header expands to show primary verses (gold left border) with cross-reference verses indented beneath each one (blue left border). Individual cross-references and entire collections can be removed from within the study.
• ●Save AI conversations — from the conversation history drawer, add any of your last 20 AI conversations to a study. The full conversation (all messages, markdown formatting, and book/chapter context) is snapshotted and displayed inside the study exactly as the chatbot rendered it.
• ⇓Export study to PDF — click ⇓ Export PDF in the study header to download a fully formatted PDF. The PDF opens with a branded header (site name, study title, and study description), followed by each study section: AI conversations (separated by bold horizontal rules); bookmarks with verse text and personal notes; verse collections with the full hierarchy (collection name, primary verses with text and notes, cross-reference verses indented beneath their parent verse); chapter notes; Bible stories; and glossary entries. Every verse reference and cross-reference in the PDF is a clickable deep link back to BibleText.com so readers can navigate directly to any passage.
• 📝Data integrity — all items added to a study are permanently snapshotted. Deleting a bookmark, clearing conversation history, or removing a verse collection from the Bookmarks page never removes it from your study.
