(14) Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD'S house; and said to all the people,
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jeremiah is sent to the city of Nineveh to warn its people of God’s impending judgment, and they respond with repentance. Though they turn away from sin, God promises not to hold them forever in anger. This chapter shows that God’s judgment is certain, but His mercy can be shown to those who seek forgiveness.
