Jeremiah 19:15
The Scripture
(15) Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jeremiah is sent to the city of Nineveh to warn its people of God’s impending judgment, and they respond with repentance. Though they turn away from sin, God promises not to hold them forever in anger. This chapter shows that God’s judgment is certain, but His mercy can be shown to those who seek forgiveness.
