(2) Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD'S house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD'S house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word:
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
The people of Judah ask Jeremiah to write down the words of the Lord and the deeds of their kings so that the king of Babylon may know them. Jeremiah promises to do this, saying he will record their actions and give the record to the Babylonian ruler. The chapter shows the need for a lasting record of God's judgment and the consequences of Israel's sins.
