The Scripture
(2) Stand in the gate of the LORD'S house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.

Jeremiah calls the people of Judah to repentance, accusing them of worshiping foreign gods and breaking their covenant with God. He describes the king’s and the people’s sin, the destruction of the sacred altar, and the ongoing idolatry that brings divine wrath.
