The Scripture
(3) O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jeremiah delivers a solemn warning that the nations will bring great disaster upon Judah and that the house of David will be destroyed as the house of Jacob. He says that the people's sins have led to their ruin and that only a remnant will survive. The chapter ends with a call to repentance and a promise that God will restore the land.
