Psalms 82:1
The Scripture
(1) A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
The psalmist urges the people to be just and to protect the poor and vulnerable, warning that the wicked will oppress them. He calls the righteous to stand up and speak against injustice, to be a witness to God’s righteousness. The chapter ends with a call to be zealous in defending the oppressed.
