The Scripture
(22) Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labour on the day.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Nehemiah 4 describes the people of Jerusalem who have returned from exile and are facing a severe famine with little food and unfinished walls. They complain to their leaders that there is no provision and pray for help, and God answers by sending a great harvest to feed them.
