The Scripture
(12) The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the Israelites are accused of having abandoned the required sacrifices, offering neither burnt offerings nor sin offerings. Their disobedience is presented as a clear sign that God will send a messenger to warn them of impending judgment. The chapter stresses the importance of keeping God's commandments and the serious consequences of ignoring them.
