In this chapter the prophet Malachi warns the people of Israel that God will not give them more blessings than they deserve and that the nations will be judged for their wickedness. He also predicts that the day of the Lord will bring a time of great fire that will test both the righteous and the wicked alike. The chapter ends with a call to repentance and trust in God's justice.
