The Scripture
(18) And among the sons of the priests there were found that had taken strange wives: namely, of the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren; Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ezra and Nehemiah go to Jerusalem to organize the people and enforce the law. They divide the community into three groups, judging those who have kept the commandments, those who have broken them, and those who have not answered. The chapter ends with the judgment being carried out.
