The Scripture
(7) And the coast of Manasseh was from Asher to Michmethah, that lieth before Shechem; and the border went along on the right hand unto the inhabitants of Entappuah.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the Israelites finish their campaign in Canaan, driving out the remaining Amorite cities and securing the land for themselves. The narrative emphasizes that God has delivered the people as He promised, and there is no further need for war. The conquest is portrayed as a divine act completed, leaving the land ready for the promised inheritance.
