Genesis 26:1
The Scripture
(1) And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.

Abraham, now a hundred years old, is given a promise by God that he will inherit the land of Canaan. He and his family travel to the site of the promised land, find a rock, plant a tree, and build an altar. The chapter shows God’s faithfulness and the beginning of Abraham’s obedience to the covenant.
