The Scripture
(13) And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.

Joseph’s brothers bring a gift to Pharaoh, and the king orders them to be given to his servants and to be placed in the storehouse. The brothers are then assigned a high place in the storehouse, a sign of God’s favor and provision.
