The Scripture
(4) And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.

In this chapter the people of Israel defeat the Ammonites after Ahithophel, their chief, is killed. The victory is attributed to God's power and the loyalty of the Israelites. It shows that God rewards faithfulness and punishes rebellion.
