The Scripture
(3) And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Bethhoron the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out thereof are at the sea.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
The Israelites camp at the Jordan River while the spies continue to report that the land is ready for their entry. The chapter stresses that God has prepared the way and that the people must trust Him and obey His command to cross at the appointed time. It reminds the community that their success depends on faithful obedience and divine guidance.
