(7) Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein.

(18) Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly:

(19) He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.

(8) The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no more: thine eyes are upon me, and I am not.

(9) As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more.

(4) But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.

(12) So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

(3) Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?

(15) Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

(19) Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.

(28) And he dwelleth in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.

(2) How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?

(3) How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

(6) Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

(7) There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen:

(18) No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.

(13) They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper.

(17) My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest.

(16) Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.

(19) Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.

(11) And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
