(12) And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

(1) Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

(8) And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

(2) If we assay to commune with thee, wilt thou be grieved? but who can withhold himself from speaking?

(4) He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?

(25) For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.

(8) Upright men shall be astonied at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.

(3) But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

(10) He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

(14) Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.

(8) Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

(2) For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

(4) He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

(35) I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

(6) And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

(7) Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
