(2) As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;

(8) For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

(15) Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloud.

(16) And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have taken hold upon me.

(25) Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor?

(30) Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.

(18) He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

(20) So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.

(22) Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.

(28) He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

(30) To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.

(3) My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?

(4) Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.

(13) Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:

(17) Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.

(14) Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

(4) I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

(2) My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

(4) When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
