(4) The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

(5) The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

(15) My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

(4) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

(19) To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

(19) Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

(14) For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

(3) The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

(32) The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

(14) The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.

(25) There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

(21) Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

(6) The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.

(11) If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;

(18) As a mad man who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death,

(1) A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.

(26) And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

(8) There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.

(6) Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

(2) The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

(8) He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.

(15) Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

(18) And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

(1) In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
