The KJV Bible Search page brings together four distinct ways to study Scripture, switchable by tab without leaving the page. Each is built for a different kind of question — from “where does this exact phrase appear” to “what does the whole Bible say about this topic.”
Full-Text Verse Search
Type any word or phrase and BibleText.com searches the complete King James Version for every verse that contains it, with your term highlighted in context. Results can be narrowed to a single book, and each match links straight to its place in the reading page.
Multi-word phrases work automatically — just type the phrase as-is, with no quotation marks needed. Typing not of men or but of God returns only verses containing those exact words together, in that order.
Next to the book filter is a Whole word only checkbox for when a plain word search is returning too much. By default, search matches substrings, so looking up “ment” also returns every verse containing “commandment” or “abatement”. Checking Whole word only restricts results to the exact word by itself — searching “Judge” with the box checked will not also return “Judged,” “Judgeth,” or “Judgment.”
Every search result can also be expanded to show its cross-references — both Treasury of Scripture Knowledge entries and algorithmically related verses — the same cross-reference panel available while reading a chapter. That means a single search doesn’t just return isolated verses; it opens a path into the verses that illuminate them.
KJV Bible Concordance
A concordance is different from a phrase search: it lists every single occurrence of one specific word across the entire Bible, letting you see the full range of how a word is used from Genesis to Revelation. Browse alphabetically or jump straight to a word to see its total count and every verse reference where it appears.
This is the tool to reach for when studying a single word’s meaning and usage — for example, tracing every use of “covenant” or “grace” throughout the KJV.
Nave’s Topical Bible
Nave’s Topical Bible organizes thousands of scripture references by subject rather than by book order — faith, forgiveness, prayer, marriage, suffering, and countless other themes, each gathering the verses across the whole Bible that speak to it.
