The Scripture
(7) And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

In this chapter the devil is given power to deceive the nations, and the beast and its false prophet are introduced as a new oppressive system that will cause widespread suffering. The focus is on the ultimate defeat of evil and the triumph of God's kingdom over all false powers.
