📚 About this Book
✦ Chapter Overview

Revelation 12 unfolds a great sign in heaven—a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars, crying in birth pains—opposed by a great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns whose tail sweeps a third of the stars to earth and who waits to devour her male child, who is caught up to God's throne. The woman flees into the wilderness where God has prepared a place for her, and war breaks out in heaven as Michael and his angels cast out the dragon, the old serpent called the Devil and Satan, who is now overcome by the brethren's testimony and the blood of the Lamb. The chapter closes with the enraged dragon pursuing the woman, who is given eagle's wings to fly to her place for a time and times and half a time, the earth swallowing the flood the dragon spews from his mouth, and the dragon going to make war on the rest of her seed who keep God's commandments and have the testimony of Jesus.
