The Scripture
(1) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

In this chapter the psalmist cries out in sorrow, describing how the wicked have taken advantage of the righteous and caused them to suffer. He declares that God will judge the ungodly and that the righteous will be vindicated. The tone is one of deep grief and a plea for divine intervention.
