(6) Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

The psalm portrays a man who has suffered greatly because of his wickedness, his wealth being taken away and his life marked by sorrow. It teaches that God judges the guilty and brings them to ruin, yet there is hope that God will deliver the righteous and restore them.
