The Scripture
(8) For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
The psalmist expresses deep gratitude for Jerusalem, calling it the dwelling place of God and saying he rejoices there. He praises God for the city's beauty and the joy it brings to the faithful. The chapter teaches that true happiness comes from worshiping God in His holy place.
