The Scripture
(21) This is the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In Numbers chapter 6 the Israelites are instructed to bring a lamb for each person to the tabernacle, and Moses will strike the lamb with a spear. The act is meant to show that the people will be willing to sacrifice themselves for the community. This chapter emphasizes obedience to divine command and the value of communal sacrifice.
