The Scripture
(19) But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:

The Israelites are instructed to count their numbers and to set apart the tribe of Levi for their service. The chapter also records the division of the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh and the appointment of leaders for each tribe.
