The Scripture
(46) And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter Jesus is taken to the cross and dies on the day of the feast, his body is buried, and his disciples mourn. The women who have mourned all day weep openly, and the tomb is sealed, with a promise that the stone will be rolled away, indicating his resurrection.
