(56) For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jesus is seized by the authorities and brought before the Jewish council where he is questioned and accused of blasphemy. The crowd reacts violently and Peter is later identified as a traitor who denies Jesus. The chapter ends with Jesus being led to the cross for his execution.
