The Scripture
(32) And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jesus is seized by the authorities and brought before the Jewish council where he is questioned and accused of blasphemy. The crowd reacts violently and Peter is later identified as a traitor who denies Jesus. The chapter ends with Jesus being led to the cross for his execution.
