(1) And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

In this chapter the Israelites are commanded to purify themselves after a ritual sacrifice for a sin that has been committed, and they are instructed to bring a bull and a ram to the altar. The chapter also explains the priest's preparation and the meaning of the blood as a sign of atonement.
