The Scripture
(1) In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

After Jesus ascended to heaven, his disciples traveled to Galilee where they encountered him, and Thomas doubted until he saw the wounds. Their joyful return to Jerusalem marked the beginning of the Great Commission, as Jesus promised to be with them forever.
