(30) Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities with their villages.

In this chapter the Israelites, led by Joshua, defeat the remaining Canaanite cities and the people of the land. The chapter records how the tribes are assigned the cities they are to possess and how the people are instructed to go to the promised land. It emphasizes the fulfillment of God’s promise to give them the land.
