Joshua 13:4
The Scripture
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Joshua 13 opens with the Lord telling the aged Joshua that much land still remains to be possessed, then listing the remaining Philistine and Canaanite territories yet unconquered. It records the inheritance that Moses had already allotted to the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh east of the Jordan, with their cities and borders. The chapter closes by noting that Moses gave no inheritance to the tribe of Levi because the Lord God of Israel Himself was their inheritance, as He had promised.
