The Scripture
(5) And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Atarothaddar, unto Bethhoron the upper;

The Israelites camp at the Jordan River while the spies continue to report that the land is ready for their entry. The chapter stresses that God has prepared the way and that the people must trust Him and obey His command to cross at the appointed time. It reminds the community that their success depends on faithful obedience and divine guidance.
