(17) Then took I the cup at the LORD'S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:

In Jeremiah chapter 25 God tells Jeremiah to tell the exiles that the siege will end and they will be brought out of captivity. The chapter stresses God’s promise of rescue and the hope of restoration while also noting that the land will remain desolate until the people return.
