(2) Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;

In this chapter Jeremiah condemns the people of Judah for their moral corruption and the destruction of Jerusalem, describing the city's ruin and the scattering of its people. He also warns that the nation's idolatry and false prophets will lead to continued suffering until God restores justice.
