The Scripture
(53) The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixt us. And Jacob sware by the fear of his father Isaac.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In Genesis 31 Jacob marries Rachel and Leah, but after Rachel’s barrenness he deceives Leah by having her take his brother Esau’s wife, and then he marries her. The chapter records the births of Jacob’s sons and the resulting family tension.
