The Scripture
(15) And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be?

Jacob travels to Bethlehem and meets Rachel, the daughter of Bethlehem and the wife of his uncle Laban. He tells his father Isaac that he will give his brother Esau to Rachel, and they marry, beginning a pattern of deception that will continue throughout the chapter.
