Ezekiel 20:39
The Scripture
(39) As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ezekiel 20 opens with elders coming to inquire of the Lord, who refuses and instead recounts Israel's long history of rebellion in Egypt and the wilderness, their idolatry, and profaning His Sabbaths. He withheld His fury for His name's sake among the nations, though He purposed judgment. The chapter closes with the promise to gather and purge Israel and a parable of an unquenchable fire consuming the southern forest.
