The Scripture
(3) Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.

God commands Moses to release the first plague, frogs, and Pharaoh refuses to let the Israelites go. When Pharaoh again denies God's power, God sends a second plague of lice and a third of pestilence, and later hail, locusts, darkness and the death of the firstborn.
