(22) And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the Israelites are commanded to kill their firstborn sons, but many mothers hide their infants in the desert. As a result, the children survive and multiply in the wilderness. This shows God's care for His people even when they act against Him.
