The Scripture
(10) And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the Israelites are commanded to kill their firstborn sons, but many mothers hide their infants in the desert. As a result, the children survive and multiply in the wilderness. This shows God's care for His people even when they act against Him.
