The Scripture
(9) And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter Moses ascends Mount Sinai where God reveals His covenant and gives the Ten Commandments to the Israelites. The people listen and are instructed to keep the law as a sign of their relationship with God. This moment establishes the foundation of Israel's identity and divine commandments.
