The Scripture
(7) Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the king of Persia orders Esther to go before him and bring the message of the Jews' deliverance. Esther obeys and goes to the king with counsel and the Jews are instructed to fast and rejoice. The chapter shows how God’s providence leads to a royal decree that saves the people.
